This diploma course will teach techniques to a professional standard. You will learn the importance of cake design and the use of colour. On this course students will have plenty of opportunities to explore and develop their own cake designs.
We will begin by learning to split, fill and crumb coat a cake and then learn how to cover it with sugar paste to achieve a smooth professional finish.
The course will build on these skills and by the end of the course students will have experience and perfect a wide range of skills. We will use round, square and shaped cakes, as well as learn how to carve a novelty cake.
This diploma course includes everything you need – icing, flower paste, colours, boards, cake dummy and the use of all our equipment.
On commencement of the course you will also receive a starter pack of equipment, which will be yours to keep and take home.
To complete the Diploma course you will also need to complete work at home.
It is therefore deemed necessary that you have all of your own equipment.
Each week you will be given a handout detailing what is required for the following lesson.
You may choose to purchase additional items and you will also require cakes, icing, flower paste, colours, boards, boxes etc.
We offer a discount of 10% to our students.
Please see our main class overview page for full Terms and Conditions.
A diploma certificate will be issued at the end of the course to those students who complete all of the required techniques/projects to a required standard.
Each module is a minimum of 25 hours duration and is a completely separate course. A diploma certificate will be issued at the end of the course to those students who complete all of the required techniques/projects to a required standard.
The Masters Certificate is divided into Three Modules.
